Paver’s in Florida are incredibly vulnerable to the harsh Florida sun. If your pavers are beginning to look worn, faded and dull, professional paver cleaning and paver sealing will renew the surface color and provide a protective barrier from the sun and its damaging effects as well as stains, dirt, mold, and mildew.

WHY SHOULD PAVERS BE SEALED? Pavers today are mostly made of concrete, which is a porous material, susceptible to all kinds of staining and marking. Oil, grease and rust are very difficult to remove from unsealed pavers because they are so easily absorbed. Unsealed pavers retain water for long periods, creating and ideal situation for mold and mildew to grow.

RE-SANDING JOINTS FOR STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY. The Stone Medic will clean your pavers and the joints in between to remove weeds, mold, and old sand before installing new joint sand to level and stabilize the surface. Sand between the joints is crucial to ensure a stable paver system. Without joint sand pavers will sink, tilt and shift. Empty joints will fill up with dirt, mildew, and mold creating and environment for vegetation and insects.

After sanding we flood the pavers and joints with our paver sealer to lock them in place. The Stone Medic offers a full restoration package from paver repairs and paver cleaning to re-sanding and paver sealing.

APPEARANCE. There is no question that a properly sealed paver surface looks better than its un-sealed counterpart. Whether it is a natural or wet look sealer our clients notice a substantial deepening of the stones natural color, as well as a crisp elegant look that can be finished in a Natural or Wet Look.
